Founded in September 2003, Wizz Air is a Hungarian low-cost airline that serves more than 150 destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. With a fleet totalling nearly 140, the company has two main subsidiaries: Wizz Air UK and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. The firm exclusively operates an all-Airbus fleet comprising A320-200s, A320neos, A321-200s, A321neos and a single A330-200F.
Wizz Air’s First Abu Dhabi Destinations Revealed
Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced five new routes connecting Europe with Abu Dhabi, the first of its new UAE subsidiary. The airline is planning to launch services to Budapest and Bucharest from June and Cluj-Napoca, Katowice and Sofia in September.
Wizz Air Resumes Luton Operations
Wizz Air has today (May 1) restarted operations at its London/Luton base despite ongoing restrictions associated with COVID-19. The low-cost carrier has resumed services to 22 destinations from the gateway for passengers whose journeys are deemed necessary.
