After 10 years of successfully leading the growth of Frequentis USA, Leonard Swiontek is stepping down from his position, handing over the management of the company to Dieter Eier, previously Vice President for Products and Solutions.

Leonard Swiontek took over as Managing Director of Frequentis USA Inc. in 2012. Since then, the company has made significant strides in advancing throughout the United States. Leonard’s steadfast leadership has been crucial to implementing a long-term strategic plan to position Frequentis as a major supplier to the U.S. Government.

“Under Leonard’s leadership we placed Frequentis USA at the forefront of technology in the government sector, becoming a major supplier to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Department of Defense (DoD), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). By allowing us to work closely with our customers and partners in the U.S we took Frequentis to new heights. We are looking forward to this new chapter under the management of Dieter and thank Leonard for his contribution to the success of Frequentis in the U.S.,” says Norbert Haslacher, CEO Frequentis.

Under Leonard’s tenure, Frequentis has equipped over 220 Air Traffic Control towers for the FAA and U.S. Army, the fleet of U.S. Navy aircraft carriers, as well as major NASA space operations centres with its systems. In 2021, the defence sector of Frequentis USA became a separate entity, Frequentis Defense Inc., to focus solely on defence customers, further foster the DoD key account, as well as manage the new product line from Australian C4i Pty, attained through its acquisition from L3Harris Technologies Inc.

“Ensuring a timely and successful succession is crucial and handing the baton over to Dieter, with whom I have led the company alongside for many years, is a decision made together with Frequentis AG to support the next stage of the company’s future. I will continue to support Dieter and the organisation as an Executive Advisor, remaining part of the Frequentis success story,” stated Leonard Swiontek, Frequentis USA.

Before joining Frequentis USA in 2000, Dieter Eier was responsible for strategic marketing and then for product management at Frequentis AG in Vienna. Some of Dieter’s biggest successes are the 2004 market entry at the FAA, and NASA for all major space operations centres worldwide – ensuring the safety of passenger and space flight to this day.
