UkSATSE handles six per cent more flights

Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE) provided air navigation services to 484 266 flights last year, a 5.9 percent increase compared with 2010.

UkSATSE provided services to 107,717 flights of domestic airlines, which is 9.5 percent more than for the same period in the previous year, and to 376,549 flights of international airlines, which is 4.9 per cent more than in 2010.

The following types of flights were performed:
– transit flights – 309,921 (+2,9%)
– international (with take off/landing) – 135,529 (+13,9%)
– the number of domestic flights amounts to 38,816 (+4,1%).

The highest number of take-offs and landings, performed by the Ukrainian and foreign airlines, was processed by UkSATSE in the following Ukrainian airports: Kyiv (Boryspil) – 106,970 (+10,4%), Donetsk – 16,159 (+16,2%), Odesa – 15,250 (+8,5%), Kyiv (Zhuliany) – 13,242 (+90,3%), Simferopol – 13,191 (+1,6%), Dniptopetrovsk – 10,803 (+3,8%), Kharkiv – 8,158 (+21,6%), Lviv – 8,095 (–20,1% because of runway reconstruction), Zaporizhzhia – 3,023 (+6,3%) and Ivano-Frankivsk – 2,398 (+42,7%).

In 2011, the main users of air navigation services provided by UkSATSE were: Aerosvit Airlines (Ukraine) – 35,968 flights, Ukraine International Airlines (Ukraine) – 22,501 flights, Lufthansa (Germany) – 18,306 flights, Turkish Airlines (Turkey) – 17,372 flights, Aeroflot-Russian Airlines (Russia) – 17,290 flights, Emirates (United Arab Emirates) – 14,754 flights, Dniproavia (Ukraine) – 14,649 flights, Transaero Airlines (Russia) – 13,906 flights, Qatar Airways (Qatar) – 11,227 flights, British Airways (Great Britan) – 10,718 flights.
