ENAV to support Brazilian airports

Italy’s ENAV and Brazilian airports body SINEAA have signed a three year memorandum of understanding aimed at guaranteeing the development of the Brazilian air transport sector.

The agreement specifically calls for ENAV to support SINEAA in the field of air navigation services for airport operations, with the aim of developing procedures and infrastructures to increase airport capacity in response to the growing demand of air traffic while maintaining elevated standards of safety.

ENAV will also assist SINEAA in putting together a business strategy and all activities connected to increasing both economic and environmental performance with the aim of satisfying the needs of airline companies.

Massimo Garbini, CEO of ENAV, said: “This agreement is only the first step towards building future business relationships not only with Brazil but also with other South American countries. An achievement like this in a country which is growing rapidly and will also host the Olympic games in two years’ time presents a big opportunity for ENAV. We will proudly continue to export Italian know-how.”
