ALERT: French ATC back at work..until tonight

Industrial action by French civil servants scheduled to start tonight could hit air travel tomorrow – a week after services across France were drastically reduced when controllers went out on strike.

The action which commences at 1700 UTC tonight up to and including 16 October at 04.00 Universal Time (UTC) means a minimum service has been applied for Paris and Marseille area control centres (ACC) and precautionary regulations will be applied tomorrow morning.

The French civil aviation authority DSNA said it expects them to be cancelled in the morning between 0500 and 0530 UTC.

No regulations will be applied for Paris CDG (LFPG) and Paris Orly (LFPO) although difficulties are forseen for Marseille (LFML) on 15 October and the airport might be closed in the night between 15-16 October.

Brest, Bordeaux and Reims ACCs do not expect any regulations although Bordeaux (LFBD) might also experience difficulties on the 15 October.
