Mexico’s SENEAM selects Thales AMHS

Thales’ AMHS messaging solution has been selected by Mexico’s air navigation service provider SENEAM following an international competitive tender.

The other key criteria which led to the selection were Thales’s smooth transition
approach and its close proximity with the customer’s base of operations.

The new aeronautical message switch, based on the latest generation of the high-end
Thales AERMAC product release, natively embeds AMHS function as well as full compliance to the new ICAO Flight Plan 2012 format. It is a field proven solution already deployed in 30 countries.

This AMHS project reinforces the long-term relationship of confidence established between
SENEAM and Thales in the ATM domain.

Thales has already installed more than 130 radars and 25 air traffic centres across Mexico, Santo Domingo, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil, as well as navigation aids systems in operation in nearly all the countries of the region.

Remi Gille, Thales VP and Thales head of air traffic management, said: “Being chosen by SENEAM to service Mexican airspace is a true honour and a reaffirmation of the confidence placed in us by our partners in this key region.”
