$500m airport investment for Mozambique

Mozambique will spend $500 million over the next three years to modernise key facilities to encourage more carriers to operate there.

“Our aim is to attract more regional and international companies to fly to Mozambique as well as to attract more tourists into the country,” Aeroportos de Mocambique chief exceutive Manuel Veterano told reporters.

The rehabilitation and modernisation programme will include Maputo, Pemba, Nacala and Tete airports.
